Tomas Diez is a Venezuelan Urbanist who specializes in digital fabrication and its implications in future cities and society. He is the co-founder and director of Fab Lab Barcelona at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) and is a founding partner of the Fab City Global Initiative. He is also the director of the Master in Design for Emergent Futures at IAAC, as well as a founding partner of the Meaningful Design Group.

Fab Lab Barcelona, located at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), provides access to the tools, knowledge and means to educate, innovate and invent using technology and digital fabrication to allow anyone to make (almost) anything. We create the opportunity for communities and citizens to improve global and local lives and livelihoods.
