Meet the founders of the first Fab City Hubs on-the-making in Europe!

Fab City Hub Voices is a series of webinars to learn about the challenges involved in activating productive and creative hubs, but also to understand all the opportunities they open up for the local innovation ecosystem. Through these meetings we aim to highlight the difficulties and challenges faced by the promoters of these spaces, but also the progress they propose for the territorial ecosystem along 5 main lines: Circular Economy, Social Inclusion, Vocational Training and Heritage.

Guest speakers:

Thieu Custers is designer and concept developer at Waag Futurelab, working on maker education, sustainable cities and public programming.

Next to this, he has his own design studio working on exploring art, science, nature and media. His work often ends up staging practical performative experiments, delving into themes of circular sanitation, food systems and ecological space exploration.

Bono Siebelink is a cultural programmer at Pakhuis de Zwijger, a platform for social innovation and creation. Within the urban planning team, he creates new networks between the various actors in urban development through organising panel discussions and awareness events. His events focus on the social implications of physical changes to the city by scrutinising the effects of urban planning on the everyday experience of residents. He has a background in interdisciplinary social sciences and urban geography.
